I do believe that street journalism is a principal aspect of communication due to the fact that a person can spread information swiftly because of Internet. Citizens are a huge contributor to media when they can record and write about everything that is going on around them. If this piece of writing benefits people and informs them on what is going on around them, then street journalism can be regarded as journalism. For example, a picture or a video that was taken by a citizen during Arab Spring riots can be considered journalism. This piece of information helped people understand what was going in Middle East and the events that was going on there.
However, taking a naked picture of a celebrity is not street journalism. For instance, the naked pictures of Prince Harry were taken by a person who did not have a degree in journalism but they cannot be seen as having any journalistic value either. These pictures do not benefit people in any way; their mere purpose is to earn money.
