This year, for the first time, the French Institute of Istanbul -in cooperation with the Embassy- organized it. It took place in Maslak at the “Mutfak Sanatları Akademisi” in an auditorium.
We went with the 10 – 12 graders to watch the “Chef Bernard Herberlé” preparing several different sweets such as “Nougat glacé”, different taste of “Macaron” and a “Soufflé”. After it we tasted them, and spoke about what we were feeling in our months.
Some students were able to be the assistant to the Chef for a moment and they tried to make Macaron, as you can see from the pictures and videos.
At the end of the day the students received the recipes of what they have tasted as well as a little dictionary of culinary vocabulary in French-Turkish.
It was a great experience that we would like to repeat every year!
