May 9 was just like another day where a group of students were observed using Facebook at school’s IT room. It is normally forbidden to enter social websites like Facebook or Twitter even in IT lessons at Açı, just like many other private schools. But it seems like students do not go along with these rules anymore.
Millions of people in Turkey are members of Facebook. Especially teenagers at school pay more attention to Facebook than their lessons. As a procedure, computers automatically shut the page down when students try to enter the website. However, it seems that students find a way around this problem.
Is there any point in putting a procedure when everybody knows it will not be abided?
