After a selection process, Erman Ermihan won the right to take place in the Advisory Panel, which was implemented in TIMUN for the first time, but was a crucial and critical part of the real United Nations, giving advice to the Securtiy Council on the overriding issues of the time. Melis Birgen, on the other hand, took part in ICJ (International Court of Justice) as a judge and worked on the actual case of Macedonia’s name, analyzing the data for three continuous days, questioning witnesses, and finally making the ‘’winner’s’’ decision.
The rest of the delegates were in an English spoken MUN conference for the first time. Even so, all the work done beforehand paid off and unexpected success from first timers were achieved. Ayşe Erman’s and Cem Kaspi’s resolutions passed in their own committees and came to the General Assembly. Ayşe Erman made her first ever and TIMUN delegation’s only speech at the GA and was impressive with the way she answered all the questions. Gamze Keklik was in her first ambassador position while Burcu Açıkgöz and Deniz Cündoğlu advanced in lobbying. Even though Irmak Güniz Karadere was introduced to the Disarmament Committee only a week before, she faced the challenge with flying colors.
