Istanbul… What a fascinating and incredible city – like a mysterious woman. Charming, irresistible and untouchable.
We had a great chance for a journey to the heart of her. At the beginning of the summer, when she is really pretty, five people had a helicopter tour all around her; it was like a wonderful daydream. After a tough drive, we have arrived to the helicopter domain and met the pilot. After a while, we got in the helicopter and that was it, we were actually flying.
Istanbul is much better when you see it from the top. The Bosphorus was amazing, and the ships, boats, small crafts in it, and the seagulls, pigeons around them, Bogazici and Fatih Sultan Mehmet Briges, all of them were like abeautifully composed song. The historical peninsula was the traditional beauty of her, the Topkapı Palace, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Galata Kulesi and more… they are certainly worth to see.
While watching amazed and shocked by her beauty, we saw the Istiklal Street: very_narrow and crowded street, and unless the pilot had pointed itwe wouldn’t have noticed it; in fact it was hard to believe even if he had said so.
Our flight was about half an hour and, of course it was not enough for us. We could have watched the city- this beautiful woman so elegantly decorated- for all day and night, but we had finished our tour after seeing Istinye Park and Turk Telekom Arena from above, and surprised at what beautiful architecture they had. It was an unforgettable memory for all of us, and now we have to get over it which seems not possible or dream to have another chance to do it again.
